A Collection of US Flags
September 16, 2001
With regard to recent events, flags have become very popular in my neighborhood, and probably all over he United States. In less than a week they're suddenly everywhere. Ours is one of only a few houses on the block that has not displayed a flag. There is no particular reason that we do not have a flag displayed, other than perhaps confusion, and also I'm not good at social things. Flags have also become popular at the workplace (above and below).
This is one option -- an inexpensive paper flag to be tacked up on a pod wall.
Another option -- inexpensive fabric flag. (Not sure where this was manufactured.)
This street sign in my neighborhood was transformed into a kind of 'flag pole.'
Balcony Flags.
Flags for people on the go.
This flag is mounted in front of a daycare center.
And finally, the penultimate, a paper flag included with the daily newspaper. This makes me slightly uncomfortable,
like the time I lighted an incense stick and looked for a safe place to put a box of matches, but didn't want to put them
on the top shelf next to the ashes of my mother. It just doesn't seem right somehow. This flag comes with "Instructions for Use."
Remove from newspaper—Place in Window—Embrace freedom

This flag was made by my daughter, so it was manufactured in the US.

And this is just something that I saw that kind of looked like a flag, so I took a picture of it.
